About Georgia Jane:

My name is Georgia and my mother is Jane. Our names and initials are combined to develop the Georgia Jane brand and signature on each piece of art. What inspired two individual artists to merge talents and trust each other in the creative process? Our inspiration comes from a simple place…a desire to be together.

Mom and I spent twenty-five years living twelve hours apart. When a move to Memphis closed the distance gap, we intended to waste no more opportunities to be together. Why do we create art together? Because the best inspiration for painting beauty comes from working, laughing, learning, praying, and enjoying life with your best friend!

”When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!” This attitude doesn’t just impact our emotional health but our approach to painting. There are no absolutes in the creative process. A few simple brushstrokes can produce something unexpected and beautiful or quickly turn into an unattractive mistake! However, those mishaps give rise to artistic growth, improved techniques, and new ways of turning bad into beauty.

Our art happens when we are together, freely sharing, encouraging, and embracing the lemons without fear!
